YORK Knights have been handed a favourable draw in the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup, albeit not the one that head coach Andrew Henderson was hoping for.
The Knights have been drawn against Betfred Championship rivals London Broncos, who they could yet also face in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup semi-finals.
Although not a Betfred Super League giant, Henderson has his wish of a fourth consecutive home tie in the competition, and on paper, it's likely one that the Knights have a strong chance of winning.
London sit one place behind York in the table and equal on six points from their nine league matches thus far. While the Broncos have scored 162 points at the right end of the pitch, they have also conceded 238, 55 more than the Knights.
The tie will take place on the weekend of May 19-21, just two weeks after their Championship clash, also at the LNER Community Stadium, on May 7.

York began their Challenge Cup campaign with a 52-12 win over Bradford-based NCL outfit West Bowling at the LNER Community Stadium on March 12, their biggest margin of victory this season.
Fans were then treated to arguably their best performance of the season against Championship high fliers Sheffield Eagles - in which York claimed a thrilling 24-22 triumph despite playing with 12 men for 50 minutes - before a similarly enthralling 22-18 win against Newcastle Thunder on Friday night.
London's path to this stage has been rather more straightforward, with a 32-10 victory against Championship strugglers Whitehaven followed by a 66-16 thrashing of Betfred League One Doncaster, before yesterday afternoon's 36-16 triumph against Dewsbury Rams.
Elsewhere, the other ties involving Championship clubs see Batley Bulldogs travel to in-form Hull KR, and Halifax Panthers handed a dream tie at home to 13-time winners, and reigning Super League champions, St Helens.
Current Challenge Cup holders Wigan Warriors will face fellow Super League giants Leeds Rhinos, while last season's Runners-up, Huddersfield Giants, will travel to Salford Red Devils.
