A DATE has been set for York Knights' Betfred Challenge Cup Sixth Round tie against London Broncos.
The Broncos will visit the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday, May 21 at 3pm, two weeks to the day after the sides' Betfred Championship clash.
York's progression to this stage of the competition has been thrilling, with a 52-12 victory over NCL leaders West Bowling followed by a nail-biting 24-22 triumph over high-fliers Sheffield Eagles, in which they delivered arguably their best performance of the season after being forced to play with 12 men for 50 minutes.
Half-back Liam Harris then provided the winning try against Newcastle Thunder in their Fifth Round tie as the Knights overcame an eight-point deficit at the break to seal a 22-18 victory.
London, whom Knights head coach Andrew Henderson led to two second-placed Championship finishes, have earned their spot in the Sixth Round rather more comfortably, with their place in the last 16 confirmed with a 36-16 win over Dewsbury Rams.
Tickets for the fixture are priced at £10 for Adults and £7 for Concessions, while Under 16s are free, and will be made available in due course.
