YORK Knights head coach Andrew Henderson has called for his players to end their home campaign on a high against Batley Bulldogs on Monday evening (7:45pm).
Just two points separate the sides in the race for the final play-off places, with victory for Henderson's side a huge boost to top-six ambitions that have seemed firmly out of reach for the majority of the season.
A 20-10 victory at play-off contenders Bradford Bulls only served to highlight how difficult a side the Knights are to overcome at present, but despite a run of one victory in their last seven matches, Batley will prove another tough challenge.

Craig Lingard's charges have beaten York twice this season, the most recent of which after a below-par performance from the Knights in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Semi Final at the end of July, and Henderson hopes that his side can thank the club's fans for their support with a crucial victory.
"We do [want to finish on a high in front of the home fans]," he admitted. "I'm very thankful to the York supporters.
"It's my first season here experiencing them and what they bring to the table, and I think for a large part of the season we've seen them turn out, certainly on the road.
"They've travelled well to support the team, and there's been a couple of games that have been pretty tough watches for them, but for the last part, I think that they've seen plenty of effort and endeavour from the players and thankfully, we've been able to give them a bit more to cheer about at the back end of the season.
"It'd be nice to finish on a bit of a high at home for a few different reasons, but certainly to reward our supporters that have stuck with us this year in what has been a difficult season at times."
