INDUSTRIOUS forward Jordan Thompson is back in contention for York Knights ahead of their visit to Betfred Championship League Leaders’ Shield winners Wakefield Trinity on Sunday (3pm).
The loose forward, who can also play at prop, returns after having served a two-match suspension following his sin bin in last month’s historic win at Toulouse.
He replaces AJ Towse in the only change to the Knights’ 21-man squad for their visit to the DIY Kitchens Stadium, with concussion protocols ruling the former Heworth winger out.
Joe Law, York’s only try-scorer at Widnes last weekend, is eligible to face his parent club, where he will be looking to continue a rich vein of form that has brought him five tries in as many appearances.
YORK KNIGHTS SQUAD TO FACE WAKEFIELD TRINITY: Antrobus, Bailey, Brown, Cunningham, Daley, Dee, Field, Gannon, Hingano, Jubb, Law, Lineham, Martin, Michael, Pemberton, Reynolds, Santi, Thompson, Ward, Williams.

York Valkyrie have named just a 17-player squad for their regular Betfred Women’s Super League closer at Featherstone Rovers on Sunday (12pm).
With top four rivals Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors facing off tonight, the Valkyrie’s fate is in their own hands in the battle for a coveted home play-off tie.
Joint top-scorer Emma Kershaw (shoulder/back), Kelsey Gentles (knee) and Lacey Owen (arm) have all been ruled out of contention after suffering injuries during last weekend’s comeback win at Wigan, whilst young forward Jess Sharp is away with the England DiSE programme in France.
Lauren Exley and Bettie Lambert come back into the fold, having helped dual registration partners Sheffield Eagles reach the Women’s North Championship play-off semi-finals.
The Eagles though have been given a helping hand by Lindsay Anfield’s side, with Chevelle Clarke, T’leesha Frederick Maynard, Mahault Pommier and Georgia Taylor all in line to feature in their crunch promotion clash.
YORK VALKYRIE SQUAD TO FACE FEATHERSTONE ROVERS: Andrade, Bell, Brennan, Eastwood, Exley, Hetherington, Izumi, Lambert, Marshall, Pakulis, Parker, Partington, Renouf, Rihari, Stimpson, Wood, Wilton.
