YORK City Knights will be showing England’s Euro 2012 game in Bar 13 tonight while the club’s under-18s are taking on their Halifax counterparts at Huntington Stadium.
The Knights have not been able to rearrange their game (8pm) to avoid a clash with England’s vital match against Ukraine (7.45pm) but fans will be able to watch both from the boardroom.
James Ford’s young Knights, looking to make it four wins from four matches, will feature seasonal debutants in Ash Stephenson, who returns to the side action for the first time since tearing knee ligaments early in the first game of last season, and Charlie Hall, from the Wetherby area.
Entry to the match, via Bar 13, is free for Knights season-ticket holders and vice-presidents, or £4 for adults and £1 for under-16s.
Knights general manager Ian Wilson: “It’s difficult to get dates for these fixtures and it’s impossible to change at short notice. We would’ve played it on Thursday but Halifax’s reserves play that night so we couldn’t. Fans can watch both games from the boardroom.”
Knights U18s: from Morland, Tomlinson, Minikin, A Haynes, West, Brewer, L Green, Stubbs, Poulter, Fitzsimmons, Hutchinson, Parker, Ellis, Carter, Braithwaite, Hewick, Hall, Stephenson.
