YORK City Knights Under-18s made it four wins from four last night as they saw off their Halifax counterparts 29-10 at Huntington Stadium.
A Tim Stubbs try sandwiched two Halifax scores before a touchdown by second-row Alex Hutchinson - a late call-up after Adam Dent was ruled out with injury - plus two conversions and a drop-goal by Matt Brewer put York 13-10 up at the interval.
The second half was more one-sided as the Knights, with greater aggression and a fine completion rate, scored two tries through man-of-the-match prop Ryan Parker, one after he collected his own cheeky grubber kick, and one through hooker Josh Poulter, with Brewer adding two more goals.
Ash Stephenson, back on the wing after 18 months out with a knee injury, was sin-binned for fighting in the first half but otherwise impressed along with replacement hooker Harry Carter.
