YORK City Knights Under-18s made it five wins from five on Tuesday night as they beat Halifax 29-10 at Huntington Stadium.

A try by Tim Stubbs sandwiched two Fax scores before a touchdown by second-row Alex Hutchinson – a late call-up after Adam Dent was ruled out with injury – plus two goals and a drop-goal by Matt Brewer put York 13-10 up.

The second half was more one-sided as the Knights, with greater aggression and a fine completion rate, scored two tries through man-of-the-match prop Ryan Parker, one after he collected his own cheeky grubber kick, and one through hooker Josh Poulter, with Brewer adding two more goals.

Ash Stephenson, back on the wing after 18 months out injured, was sin-binned for fighting but otherwise impressed along with replacement hooker Harry Carter.
